We just sold my brother’s house aided by the superb support of Nancie McLeod.
My brother had to move into a seniors residence at short notice, and the family’s need to sell the house was made much more difficult by the fact that none of us live in Toronto. Nancie stepped in and saved the day for us on numerous occasions! The first step was clearing out the house, and Nancie was able to provide invaluable suggestions about where we could sell goods on consignment, donate them for tax receipts, or donate them to charity. The assistance she provided us in sorting through the household effects was way beyond the call of duty! She next provided us with expert advice on the best time to put the house on the market, and on strategies for ensuring we got the best price for the house, and provided excellent support in readying and staging the house, drawing on her great expertise in interior design. The end result was that we sold the house for above the asking price within a week of listing the house, and we could not be more pleased. People sometimes wonder what they get for the commissions that they pay to real estate agents. We don’t have any doubt! Nancie earned all of her commission and more, and my family and I could not recommend her more highly!

Nancie sourced for me a number of different and very good trades people to make repairs and improvements to the house prior to listing. She has an excellent understanding of design and aesthetics, the best placement of furniture and decorative objects, and loaned me any number of lovely accessories that helped make the house very attractive to potential buyers. Nancie demonstrated strong ethics, was readily available to respond to my many questions, and kept me informed as to activity when the house was on the market. She provided wonderful “post sale services” (e.g., assisting extensively in getting a suddenly broken lock repaired before the new buyers assumed ownership).
